Responsibilities:
? Manages the development, implementation and coordination of social media communications strategies and programs, with the goals of driving Web traffic and establishing and maintaining a favourable image of the company and its products with influential consumers, potential customers and the general public through social media channels.
? Consults with marketing, communications, customer satisfaction, Web development, executives and other departments in order to define business and communications objectives and company positions, folding those into marketing communications programs targeting emerging and social media. Selects, develops and evaluates resources, including personnel and contracted professional agencies to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Domestic or international travel may be required.
Requirements:
? Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
? 5-8 years of social media and public relations experience
? Experience managing social media programs for technology companies desired
? Solid technical understanding of technology, PCs and consumer electronics
? Clear understanding of social media, including social sites, blogs, forums and the tools necessary to reach online consumer communities
? Clear understanding of online communities, understanding their needs, gaining their trust and participating in those communities
? Keenly aware of business and regulatory news headlines all over the world
