Position Title: Technical Sales Manager-located in Shanghai
Reports to: General Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Responsible for the sales activity such as regular customer visits in sales territory China North, product presentation and ensuring that the Company's business with the customer is handled with commercial and technical efficiency.
? Lead business and efforts to develop and secure key contacts within the territory.
? To create and build up new customer relationships and new customer projects by using all offered internal resources such as Technical Key Account Manager, RADLAB and Health and Safety.
? To plan visit programmes in the most efficient manner, taking into account customer needs, journey times and overnight accommodation when necessary.
? To create sales prices and payment terms according to the company guidelines and in close coordination with the supervisor.
? To compile an annual sales budget, comment and control on a monthly basis all variations to this budget and previous year according to the company’s guidelines.
? To assist in the preparation of management information’s such as rolling three year planning (RUP) as directed by the supervisor.
? To follow up previous visits, correspondence and actions to ensure sales opportunities are maximised.
? To maintain accurate files detailing visit reports and relevant correspondence between Company and client.
? Oversee activities directly related to selling products or providing services.
? Report relevant customer information and activities such as market trends, product feedbacks etc. in visit reports and define future strategies to improve the development of sales.
? To identify on both positive and negative aspects of the service supplied and to report on these accordingly.
? To be aware of the confidential nature of any of the work handled and not to pass on any information to any unauthorised person either inside or outside the Company.
? To perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the supervisor, including joint visits with Company Management as well as presence at the Headquarter for meetings and trainings in an adequate manner.
? To ensure that all quality procedures and work instructions relevant to the Company's operations are followed so as to meet the requirements of the Company and customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
? A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or extensive experience as lab technician;
? A minimum of 6 years’ work experience in printing inks, coatings, adhesives (and preferably UV/EB technology);
? Good track records of business management, market development and account management;
? Experience in products and technology development to enable technical marketing;
? Ideally some sales experience;
? Good and efficient communication especially in oral and written Chinese and fluent in English, ideally has worked 2 – 3 years for Western companies;
? Willingness to travel > 50% of time.
