Requirements:
? Five years min. experience with Metallurgy, Heat Treat, Casting and Forging Processes, coating processes, cross-disciplined work experience PREFERRED.
? Manufacturing experience REQUIRED with strong technical capabilities.
? Familiar with iron and aluminum casting processes including the fundamentals of Metallurgy. Carburize and induction heat treat processes. Phosphate, zinc and Nickel coating processes.
? Familiar with TS16949
? Knowledge and proficiency in evaluating casting, forging, heat treat quality, processes for manufacturing, Audits
? Self motivated, highly energized and able to work with little direction.
? Strong computer skills to support written and verbal communications.
? Willing to travel, some international travel opportunities.

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for ensuring suppliers maintain a level of quality consistent with the AAM quality standards and criteria.
2. Work closely with suppliers to ensure problem free launches through strong emphasis on APQP discipline, planning and execution.
3. Work with Suppliers on an ongoing basis to make quality improvements.
4. Prepare and present department product reviews.
5. Communicate with Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, Manufacturing Engineering and Sales.
6. Keeps manager current with project plans.
7. Constantly cultivate new ideas for improved quality and technology.
8. Responsible for supplier updates as needed.
9. Works with new suppliers to develop as a valued AAM supplier.
