• Respond to and ensure that global sourcing, inquiries and problems are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Communicating between WHQ, CSO and China based vendor community on all new and existing products, procedures and programs.

• Assist the Merchants in identifying, cultivating and evaluating import sources to ensure the best possible products and programs, product quality assurance, timely product flow and compliance.
• Conduct initial factory visits on suppliers, and complete Factory Audit Report on factory capabilities, capacities, current customers, and other pertinent information, including quality control procedures, safety and social audits.
• Perform follow-up tasks for all factories as directed by the GPSM/PSM/DVP/QA.
• Facilitate the total process of sample development, quotation and program procurement as directed by the GPSM/PSM/DVP.
• Investigate and analyze potential suppliers to identify risk factors to True Value Company for planned purchases, such as financial stability, labor shortages, resource availability, raw material costs, labor costs and availability, governmental regulations, etc.
• Assist in coordinating travel itineraries for US personnel visiting factories in China (including all travel arrangements and meeting confirmation).
• Visit supplier locations throughout China and report back to responsible QA/PSS/GPSM/DVP on status of production process in a timely manner.
• Assist new suppliers in completing necessary paperwork timely and accurately in order to set them up as vendors of True Value Company.
• Attend inspections, read and interpret testing and inspection reports to assist in ensuring factory compliance to product specifications and the quality standards of True Value.
• Monitor the entire PO process from production, to QA to logistics to ensure on time delivery.

• Leverages partnerships with vendors and associates by effectively driving results through partnerships with others. Represents True Value Company in a professional manner.
• Demonstrates Superior Judgment by grasping complex issues, making excellent decisions with limited data, and working under pressure with tight deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree of equivalent industry experience.

• Good attitude is the key-willing to learn, to work hard, work smart for a great future and opportunity.
• Fluent in Cantonese as well as Mandarin and English.
• Previous retail, wholesale, manufacturing or global sourcing experience required.
• Must pass the Background check.

• Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.
• The position will require extended hours including nights and weekends.
• Extensive domestic China travel required.
