Title of Position: QA Specialist

Position Purpose Summary:

The QA Specialist, working in China, is responsible for supporting the WHQ QA organization in the effort to ensure all True Value products meet quality standards and on-time shipment requirements.

Responsibilities include:
· Manage Expectations by:
Ensuring that all Quality Assurance problems are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
· Communicating between WHQ QA, CSO and China based vendor community on all QA procedures and policies.
· Perform Production audits and corrective action requests and follow ups
· Manage Vendor Community
· Assist in evaluating Chinese factories to ensure the products that we purchase consistently meet or exceed our specifications and comply with all relevant standards.
· Conduct initial factory visits on suppliers, then report on factory QA capabilities, capacities and other pertinent information, including quality control procedures, Labs, and technological support.
· Perform follow-up tasks for all factories as directed by the QA.
· Visit supplier locations throughout China and report back to responsible QA on status of production process in a timely manner.
· Attend some inspections, read and interpret testing and inspection reports.

Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. (prefer engineering background)

Additional Qualification:

· Advanced verbal and written English and communication skills.
· Must pass the Background check.

Work Environment:
· Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.
· The position will require extended hours including nights and weekends.
· Extensive domestic China travel required.
