Main Job Responsibility:
Reporting to the Director of R&D for Kaelus, this senior role will have responsibility for assuring the production of high quality products from the Groups China facilities through the institutionalization of best practice processes and improvement programs.
KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
?Create robust and consistent product and process assurance systems in all China facilities
?Ensure systems effectiveness through adequate monitoring and review
ROLE OBJECTIVES
?Create an analytical understanding of the different product lines run by Kaelus within China
?Engender a culture of Best Practice and Manufacturing Excellence in all Kaelus operations
?Develop highly motivated and empowered technical support resources with clear responsibilities and performance plans.
?Identify opportunities for process improvement and monitor project teams implementation of improvements
?Control and manage new product introductions to ensure adequate product manufacturing performance and provide proactive feedback to engineering of lessons learned
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Process Monitoring and efficiency.
oCreate and implement tools to enable the monitoring of process yields and manufacturing efficiencies.
oTrain and advise relevant staff of the use of monitoring tools and review output periodically.
oCreate tools to feedback in real time the effectiveness of processes to both production and technical support.
oTrain staff in the use of the monitoring tools with the aim of proactively improving production yields and efficiencies.
2.Design Feedback
oCreate and implement a system to feedback relevant information from production histories to enable future designs to benefit from volume experience.
3.Process Improvement
oInvestigate best practice processes and forward recommendations to management.
4.New Product Introduction
oEnsure technical support are adequately skilled and fully enabled to approve a product release document set. The document set release supported with the product design authority should be assessed as being adequate and comprehensive to define the product and processes required to ensure compliant products to the customer requirements.
oEnsure new product introductions are managed with adequate support from design authority and production personnel
oEnsure new product introductions are effectively managed and identify all open issues in product design, process design and manufacturing performance to allow effective resolution or production readiness rejection
