General Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible to assist the QA Manager in ensuring supplier quality are in compliance with the company’s requirement.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Conduct supplier evaluation audits.

- Attending to customer feedback both local and oversea.

- Set up adequate inspection hold points at supplier’s process chain based on Inspection and Test Plan.

- Establish visiting schedule and attend to witness testing required under the inspection hold points.

- Conduct non-destructive test on critical weldment on sampling basis.

- Conduct periodic Internal Quality Audits focusing on production process.

- Follow up on all agreed corrective action to ensure quality issues are addressed effectively.

- Other function assigned by the QA Manager.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

- Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheet applications and word processing software.

- Effective organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

- Ability to exercise independent judgment and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction.

- Proficiency in process improvement and problem solving tools and techniques.

- Able to travel extensively to visit suppliers both local and oversea.

- Experience with manufacturing quality control and supplier quality management.

- Working experience in ISO 9001:2000 Quality System.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable field.
