Experienced Project Engineer (m/f) Test Stand Application

Test systems for automotive development


Location: Shanghai

The Test Systems division of KRATZER AUTOMATION plans and implements test systems for automotive development and is considered a market leader in this area. Complex systems are required for intensive testing of the entire vehicle or individual components such as the turbocharger, engine, transmission, chassis and drive train, as well as alternative drive concepts including hybrid and fuel cell technology. We design and develop these test systems as general contractor with overall responsibility including planning and project execution. Our core competence is development of software with challenging functions for measuring, control and regulation.

As part of our expansion we are looking to strengthen our team in Shanghai (Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Pudong) of dedicated engineers with good knowledge of process measuring and control technology.


Your future responsibilities:


· In close cooperation with colleagues in Germany, you will analyse customer requirements and create detailed specifications regarding the necessary software and hardware

· You will develop/program in a test stand software environment based on our test stand automation system PAtools

· You will integrate the software into the test stand onsite at customer locations and conduct various tests and adjustments to ensure the test stand becomes fully operational

· You will train our customers to operate the test stands they receive from us

· You will perform service calls from our customers in China, and occasionally in other Asian countries as well


Skills and experience required:


· Professional with some years experience in project planning, engineering and programming of test benches in the automotive industry

· Successfully completed a university degree in a technical discipline such as electrical or mechanical engineering, mechatronics

· Very good knowledge of process measuring and control technology and the use of measurement and automation tools

· Practical experience in the maintenance of electrotechnical or electronic installations would be helpful

· Comprehensive technical understanding of complex systems such as test stands and the ability to quickly learn new procedures in various technical tasks

· Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and interest for modern mobility concepts

· Chinese language skills on native level and very good command of English, command of German is desirable but not essential

· Willingness to travel

· Ability to work independently, showing initiative, team spirit and customer focus
