Position: ESB Project Engineer
Contract: 2 Years Contracted

Job Purpose

Lead projects of major scope and complexity which have minimal prior definition, and effectively team with functional experts to leverage resources. Responsible for the financial, functional, and schedule performance of assigned projects/products. May be a direct participant in the development of or coordinate proposal preparation and standards of work and specifications. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules. Direct the performance of program functional task elements. Act as primary internal and external contact for status and performance. Establish strong relationships throughout various customer functional groups and responsible for local forecasting. Work with local internal manufacturing, operations, quality and finance. Interface with SBU for pricing and competitive positioning for product families, Assist sales in seeking out new business for SBU, and prepare reports on project/product performance to SBU.

Key Responsibilities

? Acts as primary contact for project/product status and performance.
? Identify and lead projects related to new products and business growth.
? Establish and maintain milestones and project plans.
? Contribute to the business plan to attain group objectives.
? Build strong customer relationships and assist sales with pro-actively addressing customer issues.
? Generate forecasts and evaluate competitive product features, pricing, and positioning.
? Guide products through development, industrialization, and manufacturing.
? Support and promote continuous improvement activities. Evaluate and implement new systems, processes, and methodologies as appropriate.
? Determine department needs and suggest corrective action related to these needs.
? Coordinate preparation of cost estimates, financial proposals, analysis, and summaries.
? Develop and participate in strategic planning.
? Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (local/national laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
? Coach cross-functional team members, and assure the appropriate training to work effectively.
? Act on behalf of manager or other team members when they are away.
? Able to develop Rockwell Automation documentation package from customer information by creating a BOM and submitting electrical and mechanical drawings for drafting.
? Basic understanding of electrical control panels and able to do basic troubleshooting of control circuits.
? Capable of learning customer application and comfortable making suggestions to customer for improvement.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
BSEE, BSME, or equivalent.
