Employment – full time

Tasks

Manage all related daily tasks to achieve group targets including disciplinary leadership of assigned non-production and/or production associates

Key Responsibility

- Fulfill agreed targets within area of responsibility in terms of time, budget, quality and quantity

- Forecast-accuracy in terms of time, budget, quality and quantity

- Disciplinary responsibility of all production and non-production associates in assigned area of responsibility, incl. target setting and performance measurement (Portfolio)

- Effective VPS improvement and CIP activities in his area

- Responsible for the health and safety in the assigned area of responsibility

- Responsible communication interface between his area and other internal or external parties

- Allocate headcount and budget and priorities resources within section to meet targets

- Select (internally, externally), qualify and prequalify associates

- Drive loop1 problem solving (in series production)

- Quality control, and quality process adherence and procedure control, ISO Audit system assurance and Audit ready at all times

- Equipment running availability and preventive maintenance activity

Qualification

- Education / Degree in Bachelor degree or above in mechanical or automotive engineering with additional practical experience in automotive OEM

- Skillful in conflict management and employee motivation

- Good analytical/numerical competency

- Target-orientation towards time, cost, quality and quantity

- Problem-solving attitude

- Self-initiative, improvisation skills

- Be able to communicate adequately on manager-level within own as well as towards other internal departments

- Devoted to standards, common practices and continuous improvement

- Personal flexibility of task/function and working location within BBT departments

- Theoretical and practical lean production (VPS) expertise

- Chinese mother-tongue/fluent, English good in writing and speaking, German preferred

- Valid local passenger car drivers license and driving skills

- Working knowledge of MS Office

- Industrial-scale manufacturing/production process knowledge with automotive OEM

- Leadership role experience in line functions including disciplinary responsibilities > 50 production associates or > 10 non-production associates (or combination of both)

- Experience in an international/joint venture environment in China preferred

- Knowledge of BMW Group processes and system preferred
