Reports To: Account Manager
Communicates With: Account Managers, Operations Staff, and External Vendors
Qualifications:
1. Mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university
2. 2-3 years experience engineering retail fixtures and displays
3. Ability to specify appropriate materials based on project requirements
4. Proficient in Solidworks, Pro Engineer or similar 3D CAD software
5. Ability to create aesthetically pleasing renderings and shop-ready drawings
6. Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin Chinese
Position Summary:
The Retail Display Engineer should have a mechanical engineering background and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in the construction of retail displays and fixtures. Responsibilities will include design and engineering of custom displays, supervision of prototype development, and creation of quote drawings, production documents and bills of materials. This position will include direct interface with account managers, sourcing and logistics staff and external vendors. The ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills and a very high attention to detail. Knowledge of metal tubing, sheet metal and wire fabrication techniques as well as molded plastics and wood components are required.
Position Goal:
To design and engineer retail displays and fixtures, maintain and manage product technical information, and provide a critical link between sales and operations.
Compensation:
