A successful candidate will operate with a sense of urgency and possess the ability to work under tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and accountability in an ever-changing environment. As the Project Manager - Manufacturing Systems you will routinely interact with various capabilities and levels within the organization, therefore the ability to adjust communication to the technical literacy of the audience is essential for this opportunity. This position is fulfilling to a candidate who thinks economically, analytically, critically, and strategically.

Responsibilities:

• Close collaboration with related areas such as Instrumentation & Controls and operations personnel to clearly define scope within each discipline taking into consideration the requirements of all stakeholders.
• Support early design activities, with identification and application/selection of appropriate equipment technologies
• Lead the design contractor in creating project specific specifications based on local codes and standards, INVISTA specifications and best practices and industry best practices.
• Establish appropriate strategies for vendor qualification and selection criteria to be developed and appropriate quality control for equipment purchases . . . working closely with Procurement and subject matter experts.
• Provide technical input, oversight and review to the quality and productivity of work performed by contract resources (EPC contractor, installation contractor, etc.).
• Provide technical expertise to specify, purchase and install equipment to meet long term equipment and reliability objectives and ensure lowest lifecycle cost.
• Understand, working with IT and other subject matter experts, root causes of reliability issues with existing equipment and incorporate this knowledge into the project designs to avoid repeat failures.
• Provide equipment management strategies and develop a spare parts plan for commissioning as part of project deliverables.
• Review vendor offerings (drawings, specifications) for equipment and services to ensure compliance to appropriate codes and Invista requirements, engaging IT and/or Engineering subject matter experts as required..
• Provide guidance to the project team to ensure all appropriate documentation is transferred to the operations team in a clear organized manner which supports the long term maintenance and management of the equipment.
• Apply the right level of project management discipline to projects including managing scope, resource, schedules and costs
• Be accountable for tracking the project results, and deliver on project commitments according to approved budget, schedule and scope as it relates to the "systems" components of the overall project.
• Ensure that project goals support the business case and effectively manage sponsor expectations

Required skills:

• The candidate should have 10Y+ experience
• Experience as a technical team leader managing technology and application projects using disciplined processes, and following a standard methodology
• Experience leading, coaching and motivating project teams
• Knowledgeable in industry standards and best practices
• Speaks both English and Mandarin fluently
• Knowledgeable with Chinese codes and standards (GB) as it relates to the design, installation and commissioning of the scope within the telecoms discipline

Preferences:

• Should have broad domain knowledge in the following areas (Network Infrastructure, Site Security, SAP, End-User computing, Manufacturing Systems - PIMS/LIMS, etc)
• Experience with projects in the Manufacturing space
• Full lifecycle project experience on large greenfield projects (FEED through hand-over)
• Experience managing and interfacing with 3^rd party organizations such as design and installation contractors
• Familiar with Chinese EPC companies scope definition of the telecoms discipline and all the sub systems contained within (e.g. fire alarming, CCTV, PA systems, radio communication systems, access control systems, structured cabling, etc.).
• Owner operator experience preferred
• Experience with projects implementing SAP functionality particularly with PP/MRP, PM, and MM.
• Manage technology and system components of medium to large sized,business, and Engineering and Construction projects
• Coming from Chemical industry/ Engineering Company but have strong mindset for owner.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
