Position Description
Our growing Shanghai office is looking for an experienced Network & Systems Engineer focused mainly on networking and security. You must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities
To help deliver AVTech’s strategy the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Delivering quality technical engagements. Providing support to AVTech management, sales team, services team and customers:
o Pre and post sales delivery;
o Maintaining AVTech’s methodologies and processes.
Supporting AVTech customers;
Assist with the growth of new technologies, solutions sets and industry certifications;
Maintaining excellent communication with customers, third party vendors, and contractors;
Be an escalation point and mentor to others within the services department;
Appropriate handling of internal service desk systems, policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement of services;
Prepared to travel outside of Shanghai.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Personality Attributes
To help deliver AVTech’s strategy the successful candidate MUST HAVE the following skills, experience, qualifications and personality attributes:

· Skills & Experience
o 2+ year experience in network/security implementation or support;
o Excellent communication and written skills in English & Chinese;
o Proactive and team oriented;

o MUST HAVE technical experience in:
§ Networking, routing, and switching;
§ Security (ie. Cisco, WatchGuard, etc);
§ Wireless;
§ Content Management (ie. BlueCoat, Exinda);
§ Web Management (i.e. BlueCoat);
§ Unified Communications (ie. VoIP Cisco) would be an advantage.
o Technical experience that will be an advantage if you have:
§ Virtualisation infrastructure (VMware);
§ Microsoft infrastructure;
§ Microsoft Active Directory;
§ Antivirus solutions.
· Qualifications
o Currently certified in: CCENT, CCNA, CCNA Wireless, CCNA Voice, CVOICE;
o Other known industry qualifications and certifications would be an advantage;
o Candidates with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline to aid in the role described.
· Personality Attributes
o Professionally presented. We are a corporate/professionally dressed organization (ie. shirt and tie for men, and similar equivalent for women);
o Self-motivated and willing to work outside the normal business working hours to meet business and client expectations;
o A positive, results oriented and customer focused attitude;
o A desire to take responsibility and ownership to see actions/issues through to completion;
o The ability to adapt to a changing environment that requires proactive and innovative solutions.
