Description:
The role of the Transportation & Packaging Specialist is to analyze, define, organize and drive the management of the transportation & packaging within the FECT Asia Division.
Limit of responsibility:
? Inbound
? Outbound
? Inter-Company
The main missions are to:
? Analyse on a regular basis the current transport / packaging pictures and evolutions by the use of appropriate tools (mapping, incotherms, costs, …)
? Propose solutions to reduce the costs and drive their implementation together with the countries and the support functions.
? Define, organize and drive all tools and methodologies in the field of transport & packaging and ensure by correct trainings and control the correct use.
o Mapping for each country
o Creation of a transport data base (route, distances, shipping prices, …) amoung the major cities
o Creation of the database for packaging, …
? Set standards, maintain them and spread them within the PC&L teams
o Program PC&L working documents
o Truck size matrix
o Standard packaging matrix
? Plan and follow-up the Logistics budget in the fields of transport and packaging
? Develop and organize network activities (workshops, best practice transfer, …)
? Follow up the other tasks assigned by Asia PC&L manager
Interface with the Purchasing department
? Choice / Management of the panel of Logistics partners / forwarders
? Logistics providers assessment / audit per 7DB requirements
? Supplier location map
? Incoterms and packagings
Interface with Plant PC&L
? Transportation issues
? Packaging design
? Premium freight
KPIs
? Logistic cost vs. sales volume
? Supplying MPM
? Shipping MPM
? truck loading rate
? monthly review / Audit per 7DB requirement
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have/be:
？ Bachelor degree supply chain management or in engineering.
？ Experience in logistics planning and transport supplier management in an industrial environment
？ Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
