Job Description

SPIROL International is a global leader in the provision of joining and assembly solutions to customers in diverse manufacturing fields.

SPIROL Asia is headquartered in Shanghai’s WaiGaoQiao, with a goal of providing design engineering solutions in a timely manner to customers across the Asia Pacific region.

SPIROL pinning and alignment solutions are predominantly provided to the automotive industry, in various materials, with a focus on metals and plastics. Working experience of fastening solutions to these materials would be a significant benefit in this role.

SPIROL places quality at the forefront of all its operations. The quality technician will independently and professionally manage a variety of assigned projects in a responsive and timely manner from conception to completion. The quality technician will work closely with all departments to address customer quality requirements. In addition, the quality technician will interface with internal and external customers as well as other staff as needed, at all of SPIROL’s global locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide the dimensional reports and other certifications as customer request. Signs all certificates of
conformance/compliance.
2. Enters information into the IMDS and/or CAMDS as automotive customer request.
3. Processes all sample submissions; i.e., PPAP, in a timely manner.
4. Performs Lab Testing and operate test equipment to standards and per documented instructions as required.
5. Responsible for containment phase of corrective action process. Containment must be accurate and complete. Provides guidance to and assists in identifying the root causes of problems and institution of corrective action while participating on Problem Solving Teams (8-D).
6. Verifies the Corrective Action responses and report to Quality Manager
7. Participates in gage R & R studies.
8. Conducts Preventive Maintenance activities per documented instructions for laboratory equipment.
9. Serve as a resource for Managers charged with quality implementation
10. Responsible for the completion of tasks related to the position as assigned by the QA Manager.

AUTHORITY:

1. Authorizes return of samples, as needed, to verify customer complaints.
2. Issuance of RGAs, CARs.
3. Maintain equipment in excellent condition to reduce negative environmental impacts
4. Holds stock from shipping which has not passed testing

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Two (2) years quality or quality related experience in a manufacturing or laboratory
environment.
2. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all groups of people.
4. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
5. A common-sense approach to problem-solving and setting priorities.
7. Have a working knowledge of problem solving techniques.
8. Possess a working knowledge of the ISO Quality System standard.
9. Advanced skills/knowledge of “Windows” based software programs.
