职位描述
Objective/Purpose of the Position:
Primary responsibilities are to provide detail engineering design, CAD implementation and product development for electro mechanical devices or systems. Working closely with internal development design teams, external engineering resources and client’s to develop the product concept and specifications in order to meet the complex needs of our customers.
Key Activities / Accountabilities
? Work closely with Business Development to understand overall project brief (objectives, deliverable, and timelines etc.) and advise on proposal plan.
? Responsible for design of mechanical parts and assemblies, work closely with ID and UX designers to deliver design project that are consistent with safety, quality and cost requirements from client.
? Create testing and evaluation specifications as well as have a good understanding of quality control criteria that meets regulatory and client standards.
? Work effectively with and lead appropriate resources, engineering functions and tasks to execute project on time. Prepare applicable requirements and documentation for engineering services.
? Collaborate closely with client engineering team from time to time as demonstrated by seeking common ground on project expectation and solving problems proactively,
? Resource Management coach and mentor junior engineers to develop knowledge and skills on the subject of design, process and techniques, project management, review milestone and present final report.
? Participate in continuous improvement practices to keep each work process efficient and effective.
? Prioritize and complete assignments in order to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames and budgets.
? Some Medical Device design experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical technology
? Minimum 10+ years of mechanical design work experience
? Strong knowledge of general mechanical design technologies and manufacturing such as plastic injection molding, metal stamping/forming, tooling, surface decoration such PVD, NCVM, painting etc
? Working knowledge and experience preferred with DFMEA (design failure mode & effects analysis)
? Expert in at least one parametric CAD software package (ProE or SolidWorks – both is a plus)
? Fluent in English (both verbal and writing) is a must
? Good team player, creative and analytical thinking is required
