Job Summary:
Lead purchasing activities in projects (either product development projects (PPD) or industrial projects (OTD)) based on sourcing strategies defined by Commodity Teams
Represent P&SM in the project team including PPD and New machine development projects

Job Content:
1. Roles:
Responsible for the Direct Material cost in the project
Perform activities required for the project : optimize TCO (quality, logistics, manufacturing), investments
Secure the P&SM activities in accordance with Volvo Global Development Process (including participation to early and concept study phases and early supplier involvement)
Owns the project relationship within P&SM with the supplier.
Negotiate LOI, development contracts and confidentiality agreements.
Jointly work with SD to secure application of SD toolkit
Escalate issues according to escalation process
Is responsible for prototype sourcing in terms of Q/D/C
Inform P&SM stakeholders about project status
Contribute to the achievements of the global P&SM KPI’s
Manage PPD related ECN’s
Work in accordance with the Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaivors.

Required knowledge & experience:
1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
Commercial and technical background
Ability to analyze commercial data (cost breakdown)
Proven experience in a Purchasing environment
Knowledge of up to date supply chain strategies and implementation tools
Strong communication skills and social competence
Project management skills
Team player
Business mindset and holistic view
Creative attitude and energetic. Achievement driven
Proficient with Excel and SAP
Fluent English (+ local language)

2. Additional Important Requirements:technical background to understand Hydraulics specification (MUST)
