Position: Molding Engineer注塑工艺工程师
Report To: ME Manager工程经理
This engineer will serve as a plastic injection molding resource for the program management department and will support injection molding operations. The engineer will perform a variety of engineering functions ranging from initial design reviews to overseeing tool qualifications. This engineer must have knowledge of decorative plastic products, including insert molding, 1K and 2K machines. Must have worked in the decorative plastics interior in the Automotive Industry.

1. Preparation before Mould trial and pre-production. include install mould , dry material , etc.
2. Test molding tools, analyze function and capability of molding tools according to samples, ensure to match drawing and specification. Draft molding tool testing report
3. Manage injection molding parameter and process improvement. Responsible for molding related procedure/WI setup and update
4. Lead continuous improvement project related to molding equipment, tooling and process
5. Provide technical support and training to molding technician
6. Lead molding related problem solving
a) Utilizing DOE, SPC & other tools
7. Participate in review and approval of component designs, drawings and material selections
8. Understand suitable materials for new products & the manufacturing guidelines
9. Review, propose, and implement changes to improve throughput & reduce scrap rate
10. Perform technical audits of potential mold suppliers
11. Assist in troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects for molded products
12. Support new product introduction activities, including, but not limited to:
a) Test production runs supported by documentation
b) Tool qualification, first article, defect analysis


Requirement要求：
1. Significant hands-on engineering knowledge of plastic injection molding, including part manufacturability, processing, and understanding of tooling design
2. Familiar with plastic injection molding parameter setting, troubleshooting and process improvements.
3. Familiar with PA6, PA66 , PBT ,POM, PE, PP and other plastic materials and recommended supplier operating parameters.
4. Familiarity with Demag, Engel machines a benefit but nor required
5. Good and effective communication skills with people of various dept. and foreign colleagues. Shows team working attitude.
6. Open minded , good flexibility and planning.
7. Strong responsibility.
8. Experience with hot runner systems and small parts
9. Proficient in Pro-E, AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mold flow analysis software
10. Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
