Job Description:

As an IBM Demandtec Systems Administrator, you will provide Hardware and OS support for all Infrastructure and Application servers in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:
1) Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting of Microsoft server operating systems, hardware, and certain supported services and applications
2) Routine systems monitoring, administration, adjustments and upgrades to Wintel servers
3) Producing and maintaining system documentation throughout the asset lifecycle
4) Diagnosing and performance tuning systems on an ongoing basis
5) Maintaining and implementing OS upgrades and security patches
6) Implementing monitoring tools to maintain real time and historical reporting on server metrics
7) Supporting Backup and Recovery systems and Disaster Preparedness environment
8) Complying with defined change control process
9) Evaluating, recommending, and/or implementing new technology
10) Providing accurate and timely documentation of work progress using the DemandTec incident ticket tracking system.
11) Ensuring successful resolution of work within established service levels and with high quality of service.
12)Participates in oncall rotation to provide off hours support
13) Prepare detailed project plans as required
14) Helps set standards for all corporate servers; i.e., standard build for all servers
15) Must be available on a 12x7 basis
16) Maintain SQL Server as required

Requirements:
1) Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
2) 5+ years of relevant working experience
3) 5+ years prior experience in an Windows operational environment
4) 5+ years hands-on experience managing enterprise level Windows 2003/2008 environments
5) 3+ years experience with Microsoft IIS web servers
6) 2+ year experience in system performance tuning
7) Proficient in 1+ program language (e.g., VB script, C#)
8) Being family of WSUS and know how to upgrade system patch, Symantec AntiVirus
9) Having database (MS-SQL Server) is a plus
10) Knowledge of the Linux OS is a plus
11) Ability to troubleshoot problems within a distributed environment
12) Excellent written and verbal communication in English
