Key responsibilities include:
-Product Localization and New Product Development
Assembly of product samples and verification against sample criteria. Inspection of supplier samples
Educating suppliers in quality and functional requirements.
Research/develop new suppliers for the requirements of new products/localization efforts.
Communicating supplier manufacturing capability to design teams
Manufacturing or organizing the manufacture of components required to complete 'specials' or one offs
CAD Drafting and BOM Creation
-Analysis of Competitor Products
Physical testing of competitor samples - this may include cycle, pressure and functional testing
Dimensional inspection/photographing of competitor samples
Material identification/verification of competitor products - in house and through third party providers
Recording and providing accurate data on competitor sample performance/characteristics

Educational and Work Experience Requirements:
Engineering Diploma/Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years in valve manufacturing industry in a similar role
Strong knowledge of casting, machining and other valve manufacturing processes
Ability to communicate effectively in English preferably verbally, but as a minimum written
Ability to travel and spend extended periods at vendor premises
Able to accurately and neatly collect and record data. English language translations skills preferred.
Advanced ability in Microsoft office products in particular Excel
Ability to work productively with multiple internal corporate supply and operation teams
Maintain the highest standards in presentation of work area in accordance with Tyco 5S culture
