Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Technician - Laboratory performs analysis to ensure the quality of raw materials, intermediate products, finished products and the control of related process.

Responsibilities:

q Ensures that all activities are carried out according to laws and regulations, policies and procedures of the company and to practices generally accepted;

q Analyses process samples, raw materials, intermediate products and finished products;

q Analyses the samples for the control of related processes (water treatment, hot oil, etc.);

q Performs preventive maintenance program of the analytical instruments and safety equipment (maintenance, calibration);

q Performs sampling relating to HSE follow-up;

q Collaborates to solving problems relating to its field of expertise;

q May participate to the training of laboratory technicians, students and trainees;

q Is a member of the emergency response brigade;

q Is a member of the first responder team;

q Records and interprets results to present to senior colleagues;

q Cooperates in maintaining the laboratory stock and resources;

q Performs tasks relating to mandates entrusted to him/her;

q Participates to the development and update of the documentation relating to the operation;

q Contributes to the achievement of the mission of the company and adheres to company’s values.

Required Qualifications:

n Holds a college degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or an equivalence;

n Four to five-year experiences in the Chemical industrial Lab field, preferred in petrochemical industry.

Skills and Aptitudes:

§ Rich experienced with GC for trace organics analysis is more preferred. Familiar with internal standard GC method set-up. Better to familiar with water titration with Karl Fisher.

§ Initiative in daily work and have good sense for safety;

n Can work on shifts;

n Team spirit;

§ Capacity to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationship;

§ Initiative, Rigor and thoroughness;

§ Can read, write basic English.
