Title / Position: Senior Purchaser

Reporting to: Purchasing team leader

Mission: To source necessary components according specification, cost target and delivery date and to find and develop new suppliers in order to achieve better results

Job description:

- Sourcing of components for turbo compressors and expansion turbines from the Chinese market.
- Identification and selection of suitable suppliers, assistance in their evaluation also together with the SQA engineer and the local project engineers
- Issuing Request for Quotations, their evaluation and later selection of suitable quotation together with the sourcing manager.
- Negotiation of prices and contractual terms, issuing related purchase orders.
- To follow up the purchase order status and expediting of due time delivery.
- Tracking and evaluating of supplier’s performance, support SQA engineers with supplier improvement.
- Assisting the application engineers in getting quotations during project phases.
- Prepare purchase orders and deal with the related warranties and penalties, prepare and negotiate frame agreements
- Supporting the other companies within the GAP division in finding appropriate sources within the local supply market

Job requirement:
- Bachelor of related majors, such as Mechanical Engineering, Material, Metallurgy, commercial etc
- At least 5 years procurement experience in mechanical purchasing position.
- Reading and comprehension of bills of material and other technical as well as commercial documents,
- Knowledge of contract conditions, as well as framework contracts
- Knowledge of the ERP systems (Purchase module of SAP preferred)
- Language: English fluent in spoken and writing..
- Self driven and pro-active.
