Primary Job Responsibilities:


· Product Manager and leader for PayPal Data Technology.

· Closely partner with all functional areas within PayPal’s Risk, define roadmap, set priorities for team’s execution, lead the team to research, prototype and deliver innovative data driven solutions that significantly contribute to PayPal’s financial risk mitigation, loss reduction and revenues enablement and customer experience improvement;

· Capture business requirement and produce technical requirement for backend data processing and delivery.

· Work with data architects and engineers to create offline data products –data-warehouse or Hadoop based solutions. The typical process for creating offline data products starts with initial ideation and includes analysis/research, prototyping, requirement documentation, design, development, QA, deployment and UAT.

· Bridge business users and the technology organizations. Lead collaborations and discussions among cross-functional teams for effective solution-building or issue-resolutions.

· Take leadership role in Data Technology’s Risk; drive O.E. initiatives through innovations and process improvement

· Lead the team to constantly explore, experiment, and adopt emerging data technology and data processing technics

· Broadly collaborate across organizations, partner with PayPal Data Technology’s Architecture, platform and engineering groups and PayPal’s other technology organizations including PD, IT, Site Operations in delivering effective data solutions.

Job Requirements


· Extensive leadership experience in delivering data driven solutions that enables various business development

· Proven track record of success in applying emerging data technology in engineering practice in data technology organization

· Extensive experience in leading and developing teams of analysts and engineers in data technology organization

· Hands on development experience in enterprise data warehousing and big data area

· Strong technical skills in data domain with insights to current industry trend in data processing

· Visionary data product owner with effective executive level communication skills

· Successful experience in driving cross-organization initiatives

· Proven leadership experience in promoting the culture of collaboration and innovation in technology organizations.

· Must be familiar with Agile methodology
