1.0 Reports to: Construction Manager

2.0 Key Responsibilities / Function:

• Overall planning of the static equipment installation work as well as coordination with other discipline work.
• Review and comment the construction schedule and be responsible for making sure that the requirements schedule is met.
• Request the mechanical subcontractor to prepare detail work procedure and review and approve this procedure including any coordination with other Discipline Leads.
• Check and coordinate with three months look ahead schedule in each area in conjunction with AFC drawings and material delivery schedule so that proper mobilization plan of the construction force can be realized.
• Check that the proposed method of work by the subcontractors is aligned with the AFC drawings, specifications, codes and working procedures.
• Resolve any construction issues which are related to quality, safety and engineering.
• Provide the mechanical subcontractors for a correct interpretation of engineering / vendor documents and AFC drawing.
• Provide all the necessary information or feedback to Field Engineer and the planning Engineer in order to supply them with all the information needed for proper planning and quality control as well as collaborate with them in revising and updating the construction schedules.
• Monitor and advise the mechanical subcontractor(s) on the control of his labour, and materials to ensure meeting the schedule.
• Confirm that work complies with Quality, Safety/Health and Environment requirements and work with the mechanical subcontractor(s) to take corrective action in case of problems.
• Responsible for compiling all the testing records and inspection report.
• Witnessing field inspection and testing activities.
• Involved in punching activities and ensure this defective work need to be closed timely to schedule.
• Perform, other than all the above, whatever duties entrusted by Construction Manager in relation of project execution.

3.0 Requirement:

• A degree holder in mechanical engineering from recognized university or higher learning institution is preferable but at least diploma holder.
• Preferable national register engineer.
• At least 10 working experience in heavy construction site particular in oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries.
• Experience in installing static equipment covering columns, reactor, vessel, heat exchanger and pressure filter is an essential.
• Good knowledge in installing of internal for vessel/column including tray installation will be added advantages.
• Good interpersonal and commutation skill.
• Familiar with local and international construction codes and standard such as GB, SH & API is an advantages.
• Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering design is an advantage, particularly familiar with local and foreign engineering design code and standard.
