DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Communicate with all internal departments' overseas offices, and our vendors to proactively address quality issues.
? Possess and obtain the most recent and updated knowledge of each specific customer product line
? Coordinate and communicate with Sourcing, Design and Purchasing on products to determine which styles might require any special testing - i.e.: special claims
? Maintain updated records for each customer's sampling and testing requirements and distribute this info to our Vendors, PEI sourcing and Design departments (when pertinent).
? Initiate contact with vendor to advise them of the procedures and protocols to be utilized for each customer - Branded or Private
? Responsible for requesting the submission and tracking of the Fit, PP, and TOP samples for each order /style.
? When possible attend all Fit sessions for their assigned customers - this may include first Fit, PP and / or TOP's depending on the customer.
? Confirm that Fit comments are sent to our Vendors - post QC comments in PLM (this will then trigger our follow up for PP submits)
? Advice Vendor how to request third party Fabric lab tests (from designated Labs for Private label customers - and send them each customer's Official TRF (Test Request Forms). (If marginally failed, determine if an over-ride could be issued for our Branded products or if one could be requested from the Private label customer.)
? Review third party Fabric lab test results to insure that the fabric is meeting the Branded and / or Private label requirements. Verify if any "Special Claims' testing was required, performed and is passing. Post results in PLM.
? Request, receive, track and monitor - Pre-Production samples for Tech and Design review and for in-house wash testing. These samples are to be sent once the fit and fabric testing has been approved.
? Advice Vendor how to request third party garment lab tests (from designated Labs for Private label customers - and send them each customer's Official TRF (Test Request Forms).
? Review third party garment lab tests to insure that the garment is meeting the Branded and / or Private label requirements. Verify if any "Special Claims' testing was required, performed and is passing. (If marginally failed, determine if an override could be issued for our Branded products or if one could be requested from the Private label customer.) Post results in PLM.
? The wording of the care instructions should be confirmed after both fabric and garment lab tests have been completed and are considered passing.
? Request, receive, track and monitor Top of Production Samples for design, merchandising & QC review QC will check care labels for wording. These samples are to be sent once PP samples have been approved by Tech, Design, in wash house testing and Third Party Garment lab testing when required for Private label customers... QC posts comments / results in PLM.
? Must receive and review the Perry Ellis International Final Audits for each order - PEI QC Field Auditor (or third party lab) will send final audit.
? Advice vendor which orders will require an Official Third Party Final Audit (Inspection) for Private Label customers - and which Lab must be used. Send them the corresponding IRF (Inspection Request Forms) for each customer.
? Receive and review Third Party Final Audits and post in PLM. If failed, determine if an override could be obtained from the Private label customer. If not, request correction and re-audit by both PEI (and Official Third party Lab for Private label customers).
? Request "Inspection Certificate' (I/C) to be issued only after all testing and sampling processes have been successfully completed and meet the standards of the corresponding customer.
