Job Description:
We are currently accepting applications for a friendly, knowledgeable, excellence-oriented Director of Events Sales & Catering with a passion for food & wine to join our team. We offer a professional and team-oriented environment and future opportunities for growth within a dynamic restaurant company. Event sales director builds and maintains working relationships with internal and external partners, and leverage these relationships to deliver innovative and memorable events.
As Director of Event Sales, you will build a marketing plan and associated sales activities to execute with the Sales Team to achieve Sales targets and company goals. The Director of Event Sales will train, coach, and continuously development the Team. Specifically, a Director of Event Sales will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Develop & maintain Events Department
· Undertake the reasonable duties as specified by Join Managing Directors & GM
· Increase and developing level of sales and business of Hospitality & Events market sector
· Liaise operational, promotion and marketing and product sales
· Researching and evaluating new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights
· Working with the teams to manage new product development.
· Managing Events staff and external events agencies.
· Analysis of the effectiveness of all events and sales marketing efforts.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of three to five years of experience in organizing and managing events, including corporate meetings, trainings, luncheons, weddings, and other special occasions.
2. Marketing experience to include traditional channels as well as use of social media.
3. Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to understand direction, find solutions to issues as they arise and follow through on projects to completion.
6. Established base of contacts for private dining and special events marketing.
7. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with high-energy and creative
8. Bachelor’s degree and/or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification are preferred.
