Job Purpose:

To support Quality Manager to achieve quality objectives as stipulated in the quality planning and to deliver results to meet internal customers’ requirement / exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Define quality strategy for key and top suppliers for Segments.
• To support Quality Manager to support all activities of the supplier quality staff
• Support the Ethical compliance team to ensure suppliers’ compliance in Ethical Standard (requirements from NWL and customers)
• To ensure absolute product safety as per country regulations
• Execute CDI process to ensure proper execution of new product development and product transfer project.
• Assist suppliers to develop and maintain quality assurance system.
• Plan and execute quality control
• Assure compliance to quality system and product safety requirements
• Assist team members to develop competence to meet current and future task requirements
• Drive and support Quality in achieving its objectives
• Support Segments and APAC Sourcing in achieving their objectives

Qualifications:

• Strong technical competency in materials science
• Extensive working experience in design, manufacturing, and / or usage of hand tools, machine tools.
• Quality management system (ISO 9000, ISO 16949, SA 8000, etc)
• Manufacturing processes (fabrication and assembly) - forging, casting, machining, heat treatment, welding, and HVAC.
• Application of quality tools (FMEA, DOE, PPAP, SPC etc)
• Problem solving and failure analysis
• Product safety regulations
• Customer service
• Fluent in English and Chinese languages (written and spoken)
• Strong Presentation and communication skills
