The Project Director has the responsibility for the successful management of technical and e-marketing solutions. The ideal candidate will be a senior and seasoned marketing professional with a proven track record in driving revenue and profitability while bringing strategic thought leadership to the client and internal team. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional, multi-project teams to ensure solutions are delivered on-time and on budget in accordance with the defined scope, timeline and budget.
Report to: VP – General Manager
Responsibilities:
- Build deep and enduring senior level client relationships by understanding their business needs and providing strategic guidance to achieve their goals through digital initiatives.
- Responsible for developing opportunities to grow current business through strategic recommendations and innovation.
- Lead the understanding of the client's business including economic levers, industry and category, and customer needs and insights and be able to represent those to internal teams.
- Ensure all initiatives have measurement plans and proactively present thoughtful analyses of results and recommendations to clients.
- Acknowledge problems quickly and evaluate those problems without becoming emotionally involved.
- Develop staff by coaching, identifying areas of growth, and "teaching by doing."
- Work closely with the Nurun teams to build and foster a cohesive, respectful, client focused environment.
- Ensure consistency between client contractual agreements and deliverables.
- Negotiating, defining, communicating and managing the scope of future projects with the client
- Overseeing the development, maintenance and execution of project plans throughout project lifecycle in accordance with Nurun’s project management methodologies
- Working with the Development Manager to ensure that the account is properly resourced and quality standards are being met or exceeded.
- The successful delivery of all projects being executed on behalf of the client
- Vetting estimates by his/her Project Managers and to provide follow up on execution against those estimates
- Ensuring his/her Project Managers forecast, track and manage project budgets, POs and invoices
- Defining, negotiating, communicating, implementing and monitoring quality standards for all project deliverables executed by his/her team
- Promoting the professional development of the Project Management Office through coaching, mentoring and guidance


Required Skills:
- Minimum 8 year’s experience as an Project/Account Manager managing major software or interactive web development initiatives
- Minimum 4 year’s experience managing budgets of $2-5 million
- Post-secondary education in business or technical field
- Strong technical and business aptitude
- Persistent attention to detail, while maintaining overall understanding of projects
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional product teams within budgetary and schedule constraints
- Demonstrated experience managing external and internal clients
- Knowledge of Project Management principles, methods and techniques
- Knowledge of software/internet development lifecycle
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Visio
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
- Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills


Desired Skills:
- Project management experience in professional services is considered an asset
- PMP Certification or PM training from an accredited post-secondary institution
