Technical Commercial Manager - Polyolefin Catalyst
Location: Shanghai, China

Key Focus:
? Identify and develop opportunities for new business
? Keep Albemarle management informed of business development activity
? Develop customer relationship in technical arena of the customers including management level
? Develop/maintain customer, market, and competitor information
? Appropriate use of Albemarle resources to provide customer solutions by aligning between Albemarle’s resource and the customers’ commercial needs through communication with sales and R&D

Accountabilities:
? Identify and develop new accounts
? Forecast development schedule (scale-ups) with volume anticipation
? Build and maintain customer relationships in technical arena as well as business/commercial people (decision making)
? Coordination between Albemarle organization (technical & research & development) and the customers

Responsibilities:
? Identify and drive to develop business opportunities of Albemarle PO catalyst (Ziegler Natta Catalysts, Metallocene/Single Site Catalysts and components) in China to support business/sales target and keep Albemarle management informed of such activity
? Identify opportunities for new business, analyze and recommend to business/management team in align with global business strategy
? Develop/maintain customer, market, and competitor information.
? Keep management updated by timely reports through various reporting system such as call log and weekly report, etc.
? Build/maintain strong relationship with key customers and industry in technical arena
? Develop/implement business development plan, appropriate use of Albemarle resources to provide customer solutions (create value) with entrepreneurial mindset.
? Monitor technical communication under obligation of confidential information, endorse and verify for communications.
? Report to Technical Commercial Director for Polyolefin Catalyst

Requirements:
? Bachelor degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related discipline is the must
? Over 3 years sales or business development experience in petrochemical industry
? Experience working in a Polyolefin manufacturing unit and/or its Research & Development and familiar with various polyolefin platforms and catalyst performance is a must
? Over 5 years working experience related to chemical industry
? Good command of English.
? Speaking Japanese and other Asian language is a big plus
? Good communication/negotiation skill: can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups
? Good technical writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills related particularly to customer interaction and ability to sell Albemarle PO Catalysts’ products & services
? Strong computer skills with ability to use spreadsheet, database, presentation, and word processing software
? Teamwork sprit, self-motivated and honest
? Be willing to travel frequently
