MRO Purchasing Specialist (Capex Buyer)

Location: Shanghai

Job/Position Responsibilities:
? Manage Engineering and capital strategic supply agreements for Asia
? Evaluate and select suppliers
? Negotiate contracts
? Perform market research
? Perform monthly forecasting, analysis, and reporting for major forecasted MRO spending
? Consult with Albemarle management in the area of cutting costs through better purchasing techniques
? Manage special projects and manage and develop less experienced Purchasing personnel

Education Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following experience or working knowledge:
? Minimum of 5 years Purchasing experience in capital procurement
? Experience in plant operations, Process Technology, Process Design, Process or Economic Evaluation is a plus.
? Commercial negotiating experience in a mid- to large-sized company
? Demonstrated ability to save money or cut costs
? Project and personnel management experience
? Knowledge of SAP
? Proficient User of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
? Excellent analytical and business skills
? Excellent change-management skills
? High attention to detail
? Ability to participate in cross-functional, teamwork oriented environment
? Ability to work independently and create quality results
? Ability to interact with multiple levels internally and externally
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
? Ability to develop and manage projects with minimal oversight
