MAINTENANCE MANAGER

General Purpose of Position:

Has general supervisory responsibility over a group of employees in a skilled area of work involving repair, maintenance and construction activities, with immediate responsibility over supervisory subordinates. Work includes the coordination of a number of operations involving the ability to make decisions within the limits of general practices, policies and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision while exercising a high level of independent judgment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

¨ Participates in the selection of new employees.

¨ Trains, develops and evaluates employees.

¨ Manages plant utility usage in area of responsibility.

¨ Keeps management informed of key developments.

¨ Regular contact with others outside the work group.

¨ Monitors progress of projects, and makes decisions based on frequent evaluation of progress.

¨ Coordinates assignment of personnel and resources in area of responsibility.

¨ Maintains project budgets and contains costs.

¨ Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards.

¨ Supports goals of Business Plan.

¨ Provide quick services to manufacturing and other department.

¨ Work with manufacturing to do PM and improve machine uptime and beat the budget.

Skills and Abilities:

¨ University graduate or above, training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.

¨ Above 8-10 years relevant experience.

¨ Good English communication skill.

¨ Knowledge of mechanical or electrical concepts.

¨ Knowledge of maintenance and construction standards and codes, and applicable laws and regulations.

¨ High level of analytical ability and interpersonal skills;

¨ Strong leadship.
