Purpose

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that quality systems and procedures are in place for Company to produce quality leather that meets the standards agreed to with the customers.

Scope

The Quality Manager has specific responsibilities that ensure that all the quality and process systems in place are feasible and are reviewed regularly in a methodical manner. The systems cover all the aspects of all leather production that relate to a normal quality system. The basic requirement shall be an ISO9000 TS16949systems and such subsystems as required by customers e.g. TQS for the shoe leather division. Components of the system that are not in place will be developed by the Quality Manager in conjunction with the divisional quality teams.

Accountabilities

? Works with individual divisional quality managers to ensure compliance to all
relevant quality systems within divisions

? Ensures that such systems meet the requirements of ISO9000 TS16949systems and
relevant company quality procedures and policies

? Assists in maintaining leather quality in production by working with the teams,
making inspections, and investigative actions where appropriate to ensure
processes are correct and appropriate for the required leathers in all divisions.

? Works with the relative technical teams to ensure preliminary quality
procedures are in place to ensure smooth transfer of products into mainstream
production
