Summary

To develop and support a range of embedded software applications. Tasks include

software design, BSP/driver development, code reviews, coding, documentation, module

testing and creation of test cases as well as input into system concept and design.

Required Job Skills：

Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, object oriented or

structural oriented.

Familiar with system programming in C, C++.

Strong experience in embedded system, such as 8/16/32 MCU/CPUs, strong in

BSP/driver development

Understand embedded computer science disciplines such as tasks, interrupts,

pipeline, semaphore

Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, problem solving, and an ability to

learn quickly

Familiar with Linux

Familiar with UML is a plus

Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written

Measurement of Performance:

Able to execute designs or modifications of complicated embedded software

modules with little assistance from others.

Is fully capable of using the Tyco Safety Products software development, process

and design tools.

Highly efficient programmer who knows the subtleties of the languages used on

his/her project.

Implements designs with little rework (i.e. quickly compiles/assembles and links with

few to no errors).

Reverse engineers existing software modules easily to understand purpose and

identify problems.

Makes changes to existing modules with little problem.

Required to troubleshoot and correct software problems.

Required to work with Hardware Engineers to design circuits and develop

BSP/drivers.

Understands the requirements UL poses on system design.

Education & Experience:

BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering
(with focus on Computer Science) or equivalent.
4-6 years related working experience
