职位描述
Responsibility
1. Conception
1.1 Take note of the graphic references chosen by the AD or Director
1.2 Take note of the global Game Design concept and the list of characters and actors.
1.3 Think up new ideas to suggest to the Character Designer and TD regarding graphic styles or production techniques for characters and actors.
2. Pre-production
2.1 Test and confirm the AD's and TD's graphic intentions (style and technology) worked on during the design stage for modeling characters and actors
2.2 Establish the rules for nomenclature in collaboration with the TD or data manager
2.3 Ensure that you have an estimate of the maximum number of polygons from the TD, if need be.
3. Production
3.1 Rapidly do a rough sketch of the modeling on 3Dmax and transmit it to the Gameplay Programmers
3.2 Verify the result in 3Dmax, the editor, or if possible on the console
3.3 If need be, communicate with the 2D Graphics Artist as regards the character's or actor's textures
3.4 Make any necessary improvements (readability, graphic quality, respect of the style, optimization, respect of technical constraints; adapt the modeling to the animation, etc.)
3.5 Finalize the modeling for the character or actor
3.6 Have the graphic and technical quality of your work validated before and after the final touches by the AD, one of the Gameplay Programmers and an animator
3.7 Skin the character if necessary, and deliver it to an animator
3.8 Keep an up to date "progress book" of work (AVI, 3D Images, thumbnails, etc.) that would indicate its strong points to an external viewer at any time
3.9 Regularly file data and keep VSS files up to date
Requirement:
1. Excellent traditional drawing skill
2. Basic knowledge of 3D modelling and mapping
3. Get familiar with all different game styles existed or to be existing
4. Command of anatomy and working in volume
5. Ability to put the aesthetic intentions of the AD into practice and aid the readability of the gameplay.
6. Passionate of game industry
7. Strong learning ability to catch up with the cutting edge technology in graphic field
8. Knowledge of English desirable
9. Ability to work in a multidiscipline team
