JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Sourcing Specialist
Location: Shanghai
Report To: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job Description:

Target:
- Manage assigned commodities to achieve best value in competitive costs, improved reliability and improved service.
- Dedicated on operation excellence to collaborate with sales, engineering, quality, purchasing and logistics team to support project execution on budget, on schedule with on quality.


Task & responsibilities:

- Fully responsible for assigned commodity groups;
- Manage sourcing activities, benchmark price for project needs;
- Sourcing potential suppliers, qualify suppliers with quality team, develop and manage long term strategic partnership relations with suppliers;
- Lead and negotiate terms, conditions & prices of all supplier related agreements & contracts;
- Actively participate in the project management from sourcing perspectives, on time delivery for the project designated task;
- Responsible for ensuring that commodities sourced are in full compliance with projects requirements;
- Identification & implementation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities;
- Be active in cross-functional relationships (sales, engineering, quality, purchasing and logistics) to develop robust supply chain;
- Upon confirmation of order, negotiate and coordinate with suppliers to ensure profit optimization without jeopardizing quality requirements;
- Update and maintain database to support sourcing information needs and keep tracking the market trend on price, supply and technology;
- Monthly reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) within the supply chain, these KPI may include price, delivery, quality, market trends, etc.;
- Identify opportunities for “push” approach to various group entities;
- Ad-hoc tasks: Perform tasks as and when required in function of the company workload and priorities, some may not directly related to sourcing and/or purchasing.

Requirements:

Education background:
- Bachelor degree and above, better related to construction, mechanical engineering or similar majors.
Professional skills:
- Minimum 5 years working experience;
- Significant track record experience of success in sourcing and purchasing function;
- Good construction related commodity knowledge, and construction industry preferred;
- Good project management skills;
- Excellent PC and presentation skills, ability to analyse data;
- Pack Microsoft Office fluent usage;
- Comfortable in English, both oral and written.

Package:
- Gross monthly : from RMB 7,500 to 9,000 – depending on profile;
- 13 months basis;
- Yearly bonus : up to 20% of yearly gross salary (subject to company and individual performance and management review);
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage;
- Paid vacations: 8 days yearly (additional to national holidays).
