职位描述
Structure Plan Approval Engineer/结构审图工程师
Principal tasks
1. Perform plan approval activities that check or execution of direct calculations relevant to the structures, materials and welding, deck equipments and machinery, hull fittings and equipment (anchors, chains, ropes, rudders), loading and unloading arrangements and containers for the carriage of dangerous goods in conformity to classification and statutory rules.
2. This position involves conventional engineering practices as well as the resolution of complex issues related to conflicting design requirements, material standards, and coordination of multi-disciplinary activities;
3. Work closely with excellence technical sectors of RINA and with field surveyors and clients on specific projects.
Education and Professional Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering; Naval Architecture; Marine Engineering or equivalent Diploma;
2. At least 4 years professional experience in similar or related businesses (such as ship equipment design and maintenance; shipyard; operational experience in an engineering function). Previous experiences as plan approval engineer in Classification Societies would be highly preferred.
3. Familiar with FEM analysis would be a strong plus
4. Familiar with IACS Class Rules and most common International Conventions and Codes (SOLAS, MARPOL etc…) as well as the typical installation on ship designs
Personal skills and abilities
1. Team worker, yet also accustomed to working independently and under pressure;
2. Problem solving and client oriented attitude;
3. MS Office skills;
4. Good command of English, both spoken and written;
