Quality Manager

Company & Position

A leading designer and manufacturer of tooling used in injection molding. Serving the automotive and electronics markets, the Company is a leader in supplying applications where quality and appearance of the finished part are critical. The Company has relationships with all of the international Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The Company has built its leading market position based on fast delivery of custom engineered products, strong knowledge of the automotive applications of injection molding, and quickly and effectively responding to installation and operating issues.

The Company established a China based subsidiary in 2005 and from that startup has built a profitable business with sales and service locations across Asia including Japan, Korea, India and Singapore. Approximately 75% of Asian sales are generated in PRC. The management team will lead and further develop the business on the currently built foundation.

To grow the business more rapidly, the Company needs to hire a strong Quality Manager, to support for future dynamic business growth in China and Asia.


Job Responsibilities

1. Location: Suzhou, China

2. Reporting to: GM, Operations

3. Direct report(s): TBD

4. Function(s):
? Establish and maintain a quality management system based on ISO 9001 standards. Support the Design / Project Management / Moldflow / Service;
? Establish documented procedure to reduce after sale quality issue and potential failure risk
? Establish implement and monitor the product inspection system, collect the quality data and monitor and analysis. Organize the DMR audit, corrective action and continuous improvement.
? FEMA's, control plans and overseeing corrective/preventative action programs.
? Implement quality improvement programs and procedures to prevent and eliminate non-conformities in manufactured products and to improve operating efficiencies.
? Edit the annual quality audit plan, monitor and improve quality system, product and process audit
? Develop Quality Assurance personnel to ensure their future growth and development as skilled employees that continue to contribute to the organization’s goals and objectives.
? Develop the quality inspection procedure, inspection plan, equipments and inspection method .make sure all the product meet our quality requirement
? Lead the quality team to cooperate with purchasing and sourcing team. Effectively implement the vendor management system and improve the vendor product quality.
? Ensure that processes needed for the EMS are established, implemented and maintained.
? Report to chairman/top management on the performance of the EMS and any need for improvement.
? Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements through the organization.
? Coordinate with external parties on matters relating to the EMS.
? Approve EMS procedures and working instruction.
? Coordinate with external parties on matters relating to the EHS.
Preferred Candidate Profile

1. Nationality: PRC national

2. Education: Bachelor degree or above in mechanical
engineering field

3. Languages: English and Mandarin

4. Experience:
? 5-7 years quality management experience, hot runner industry will be a plus
? Knowledge/background in the injection molding tooling industry
? Thorough knowledge and experience in ISO/QS 9000 &ISO14001 standards and lean manufacturing preferred
