Description

We’re looking for a senior sales manager in China to drive Mediaroom business in China. Mediaroom is the global market leader in IPTV with almost 25% market share. Our customers are leading telcos and cable operators in their respective countries. You will be a part of the Ericsson Mediaroom sales team furthering the market leadership of Mediaroom in China.

The Sales Manager will be an individual contributor who can lead the sales effort in China. Reporting to the Sales Director for Asia, the China sales lead is expected to drive new business and is the lead for commercial aspects of Mediaroom for China.

Job Purpose
· Secure new business, generate revenue, and establish a significant presence in China
· Meet or exceed all sales objectives for China
· Account manage existing and new customers
· Principle interface for all China partner contacts, OEMs/VARS, and broader Ericsson teams.


Qualifications

Experience
· 10+ years' sales experience in telecom or cable industry, preferably for video solution
· Deep understanding of the China video, TV, OTT business
· Experience cultivating long-term relationship with customers
· Experience working with SARFT
· Developed competitive insight into market situation to drive changes in strategy or product

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Ideally with engineering/technology background and with sound understanding of the video and TV market in China
· Understand how to get things done and achieve objectives working with others in an organization
· Must be fluent in reading / writing / speaking Chinese and ability to communicate effectively in English
· Ability to achieve personal and commercial credibility at all levels – essential
· Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills together with proven ability to obtain results under deadlines – essential
· Deeply immersed into the China video and cable community, viewed as a thought leader and influencer in this community
· Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action and a clear passion for closing deals
· Understand thoroughly the economics, dynamics and intricacy of China video/TV/OTT business, know what levers to pull and when to pull them to influence change, and continually monitor ongoing trends for relay to product organization to anticipate change
