The Systems Engineering Manager will have broad experience in leading a team of highly skilled Systems Engineers on complex designs from the conceptual phase through successful product release. This involves leading the requirements development, systems level architecture design, and interface design definition by collaborating with cross-functional disciplines within the product development environment.

The successful candidate will lead a team of system engineers, through Agile and Lean, working with the cross functional and I&V teams to develop the Ericsson Routing Suite to meet the customer's requirements, as well as fulfill the business requirements on cost, time and quality. Key accountabilities include maintaining the technical competencies of the system engineering team by providing mentoring, training, evaluation, and recruitment.

His/her team will:
· Work in a tight loop with Product Line/DUIB-T Component Manager and stakeholders to strive for requirement/feature clarity and align on priority
· Drive the EPL artifacts generation such as Feature Concept Study Report, Network Scenarios, User Stories, Use Cases, Information Model and System Anatomy
· Work closely with the Cross-functional development team/s (XFT) throughout the development process, support/guide the team to ensure end to end requirement flow
· Analyze/break down complex/large features so that development can happen in distributed/iterative fashion
· Working collaboratively with local and global teams, actively drive the task going forward
· Define and maintain high-level system architecture; Drive in analysis and optimization of system characteristics
· Secure software architecture including interfaces adhere to company's Component Based Architecture (CBA) definitions
· Develop prototype and secure IPR
· Follow industry and technology trends related to IP and MBH to ensure continuous technology leadership

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Electrical, or Computer Science. Strong technical foundation in engineering design principles.
• More than 10 years of working experience in R&D area
• Proven skill for software architecture design and complicated software system engineering. Ericsson Component Based Architecture (CBA) is preferred
• Proficient in IP and Ethernet services, like Bridging, PB, PBB, LAG/LACP, IP/MPLS, RSTP, ERP, OSPF, BGP, CFM etc
• Experience leading a team in the development of system level product requirements, including high-level system and specific sub-system architectures
• Successful product lifecycle experience, from the conceptual stage through product launch and into post-launch support.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels and comfortable in cross-cultural environment.
• Experience in strong motivation and coaching for team member
• Strong result oriented and execution excellence
• Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Good oral and written communication skills, especially technical writing
