• Enhance indirect material sourcing in cost analysis, technical review and negotiation with suppliers

• Identify and develop high quality, low cost components suppliers and create references for Quality and Cost.

• Streamline the sourcing procedure to make sure sourcing project on time complete.

• Manages negotiations and agreements (purchasing, quality, logistics, etc.) ensuring the correct cost levels are maintained during the whole life cycle.

• Contribute to supplier assessment and supplier performance improvement.

• Ensure new supplier(s) are implementing the NWL quality systems/CDI Process

• Work with supply base to ensure consistent product quality and service to customers – monitor and audit their processes

• Work with product development teams to identify lower cost alternative parts.

• Identify new technologies and products available in Asia with better cost position than other countries

• Work with NPD team to support supplier to complete the products development as well as the commercial issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in technical, engineering management or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in engineering or program management.
• Familiar with mechanical knowledge of of the certain industry
• Problem analyze independently and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of leading edge sourcing methodologies, global markets and pricing/cost analysis
• Ability to accurately predict/anticipate marketplace events and develop action plans that minimize overall risk to the Organization.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an integrated supply chain organization.
• Excellent technical background and experience qualifying supplier capabilities. Individuals are expected to work with suppliers to enhance existing quality infrastructure and implement processes that will lead to progressive improvement in DPPM and related metrics.
• Ability to conceptualize problems and opportunities, and to implement innovative solutions utilizing business tools including lean manufacturing, value analysis/value engineering and value stream mapping.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
