PURPOSE OF THE JOB

In this role – System Specialist Distributed LAN – you will be responsible for securing that we deliver high availability network services to IKEA stores, warehouses and offices worldwide. This includes handling network installations according to defined standards, network project implementations, support of complex network issues. This goes for all areas within our service; LAN, Wireless networks, firewalls and IP Services (DNS, DHCP, NTP etc.)


ASSIGNMENT (main responsibilities)

- Network project leader within the LAN/WLAN/IP Service area
- Implement & design IP Service- and Network solutions
- Troubleshooting of IP Service problems and general network problems
- Implement LAN/WLAN and IP Service requests
- Manage & Control of external providers


Knowledge/Experience

- Good understanding of general network communication technologies
- Good understanding of LAN and Wireless LAN technologies – switching & routing
- Good knowledge and high experience in working with Cisco equipment and Cisco CLI
- Experience of working in a global organization
- Fluent in English, speaking as well as writing
- Knowledge of ITIL principles
- Experience from coordinating roles
