The role is responsible for fixed assets, banking/treasury, general accounting, tax & compliance functions. Responsibilities include implementing all corporate procedures and policies, adhering to internal controls, maintaining local accounting and other systems, managing the general accounting, tax return and compliance with local regulations. In addition, the role is accountable for managing Accounts Payable function with AP accountants’ supports. This will mainly be for Broadcom’s biggest WOFE of China locating in Shanghai, with 2 Branch Offices in Beijing and Shenzhen. The work will also involve coordinating transactions with the company’s shared services center in Singapore.

Key Job Responsibilities
Routine
? Ensure timely/appropriate fixed assets accounting & tagging
? Provide support to customs/shipping requirements for the site
? Ensure timely response to emails
? Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices in line with company policy by working with the Singapore shared services center and local AP accountants

Month end/Quarter end/Year end
? Manage month end process to ensure compliance with corporate and shared services center requirements for US GAAP closing.
? Timely updating of local books (Kingdee) and meet Quarterly/Annual Tax Filing schedules. Ensure on-time payments of appropriate local business and corporate taxes for each tax reporting period.
? Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Ensures compliance with GAAP, Internal controls and SOX.

Statutory Audit and Annual Tax Filing
? Support the External Auditor to ensure the statutory financial statement is finalized before the specified deadline
? Monitor and get actively involved in the Annual Tax Filing process to ensure the timely submission and tax payment made
? Keep update with the latest Tax Regulation. Identify the issues relating to Tax and actively work with the Tax Consulting Service Provider to resolve the issues

Business support
? Provide support to the business by understanding and dealing with issues in a timely and efficient manner. Some travel will be required each quarter in the role.
? Works with employees from respective departments and entities.

Job Requirements:
Education/Qualifications/Special Training
? University degree in accounting or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant working experience, in which at least 2 years in General Ledger
? Prior experience in large public accounting firm a plus.

Experience

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working energetic individual with working in a multi-national corporation.

This individual will have good analytical skills and should be self-starter who is able to set priorities and work to tight deadlines.

The individual will be familiar with statutory reporting requirements and the latest tax regulations in China, internal control requirements and have a familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and US GAAP.

The individual should also have good interpersonal and communication skills, strong ownership of the things within his/her responsibility and accountability, and be able to team with individuals in diverse business and cultural environments

Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word). Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, and Kingdee a plus.
