PositionTitle:Transmission Calibration Engineer

Location: Shanghai, China

THE ROLE

Joining a World Class team of engineers working on Hardware, Software and Controls solutions in Powertrain, Transmission and Vehicle controls applications

Key Responsibilities

· Calibration of transmission systems (mainly focus on transmissions, have opportunities to expand to engine, or hybrid)

· Transmission control system improvement

Everyday tasks will include:

· Calibration planning

· Implementation and calibration on test rigs and vehicles

· simulations

· Customer interface for projects

· Assist business development

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Skills

· You will be qualified to at least bachelor degree level in an Engineering discipline with an emphasis on internal combustion engine or auto engineering.

· At least 3+ years TCU calibration experience for AT, AMT, CVT or DCT transmission.

· Good knowledge of shift strategy mapping

· Good knowledge of shift quality calibration and drivability development to meet customer targets essential.

· Familiarity in MatLab/Simulink preferred

· Good experience with INCA or CANape calibration tool

· Literate in IT systems (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, calibration tools)

· Willingness to work in calibration on other systems (Engine, Transmission, Hybrid)

· Willingness to work in other functional areas (e.g., testing, controls development, etc)

Willingness to do some travel (within China and possibly abroad)

· Proficient in English and Mandarin languages (written and spoken) for project and technical communication

· Focused on delivering results and working as an integral part of a programme team

· Being able to work under pressure and self-manage own time deadlines

Knowledge

· Qualified technical background in internal combustion engine or auto engineering

· Good knowledge of transmission control system.

· Understanding of engine , transmission, vehicle concepts and operation

· Understanding of control system.
