This position is located in Shanghai, China (Pudong).

The IP Researcher reports to the Vice President of the Information Research Group (who is located in the United States).
Job Description
The IP Researcher’s goal is to provide quality information to patent attorneys in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The IP Researcher will assemble, analyze, synthesize and deliver legal information to attorneys and legal administrators that may have been retrieved from paper or electronic sources.
The IP Researcher will be exposed to a number of different research tasks and the position will include a variety of the following responsibilities:
? Initiate and process customer requests received via phone, web, email or fax.
? Manage projects by determining project parameters, defining scope, and creating quotes based on cost and schedule, monitoring project schedule and costs, ensuring adherence to deadlines and timely delivery to customer; and closing and invoicing completed projects.
? Ensure customer satisfaction exceeds customer expectations. Communicate regularly with customers to identify and understand their ongoing needs. Ensure that customers receive timely response to their requests for information, including regular and ongoing feedback of the status of their requests.
? Obtain copies of patents for internal and external customers.
? Assemble patent file histories for use in litigation or determining the patentability of an invention.
? Conduct online searches of proprietary databases.
? Provide follow-up service regarding due dates to clients by telephone or letter.
? Maintain a high quality work product and ability to schedule work to meet department deadlines and perform job responsibilities under pressure efficiently, productively and in a professional manner.
? Prioritize workload to meet client’s deadlines and due dates.
? Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree.
? Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Mandarin.
? Strong writing skills.
? Strong attention to details.
? Must have a strong commitment to excellence, customer service, and being part of the Landon IP team.
? Strong computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and experience using Adobe Acrobat.
? Must have a positive, can-do attitude. Hard-working, detailed oriented, and results-driven.
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
