VidaXL is a rapidly expanding Dutch e-commerce company dealing with “life-style” products on the European and Australian market. They are currently active in 8 countries including Australia . Their selling channels are various European webshops, eBay, dropshippers and b-to-b.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Being a fast expanding e-commerce company the software landscape continuous to grow in both size and complexity this makes the projects the more difficult and challenging.
The software architect will be in lead of the service bus development team and will be responsible for connecting the applications together.
These applications include for example SAP, eGain or Amazon, but there are also various of custom Drupal and Zend framework based applications.
We need a good overview of the software landscape in order to maintain a sound and solid application landscape. You will be responsible for documenting all the applications and data-flows, moreover you will also implement new data-flows and connections between the applications.
You will be the expert of our application landscape, you will know everything about all the applications and data-flows. You will advise and guide the development teams regarding pitfalls, problems and security risk when interfacing applications.
The middleman service bus application is at this moment written in Zend framework. Later on this year this application will be upgraded to a full-fledged ESB (enterprise service bus), you will be a key figure in this operation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
? At least 5+ years proven experience as lead PHP developer / software architect
? At least 7+ years proven programming experience in OO based PHP
? Proven knowledge about inter-connectivity between software (SOAP / SOA / XML rpc)
? Knowledge and experience with SOA based architectures is highly preferred
? Knowledge about ERP and/or ESB systems in preferred
? Experience with complex software architectures and middleware applications
? Excellent knowledge of Linux
? Written and spoken English on a professional level
? Overseas experience is preferred
? Can work independently but also in a team
? Strong communication skills
? Structured and a neat worker
