- Participating as a key contributor on cross-functional projects (including: getting requirements from customer, put requirements into a solution independently, researching architectural issues, providing status updates and attending project meetings).

- Define, design, implement, unit test and debug complex, multi-tier software applications for eBay operations

- Develop industry and product technical expertise

- Planning, communicating and executing system change requests from internal customers.

- Troubleshooting issues related to production systems.

- 7*12 on-call duties.

- Strong communication skills both in mandarin and English

- 8+ years programming experience in large projects

- Working expertise with at least two common development skills, such as PERL, shell, PHP, Python

- Must have some experience with JavaScript, JSON, XML.

- Must have some experience with mysql, database, oracle

- Must have some experience on OO and large project implementation skills

- Must have a general understanding of networking - routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, socket programming

- Broad knowledge of common applications and technologies in Internet computing (web servers, proxies, load balancers, databases, client/server, etc).

- Flexible, adaptable, and able to autonomously manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Monitoring software (Nagios, Cacti, cricket, NMS) and datacenter experience a plus.

- Solaris/Linux/Network/programming certification is a plus

- Quick learn is a plus

- Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, EE or related areas
