POSITION TITLE: Quality Engineer

REPORTS TO: Quality Manager FUNCTIONAL AREA: Quality
DIRECT REPORTS: Yes


POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for day-to-day quality activities including problem identification, corrective action, measurement, and follow up. This position also involves ISO/QS/AS 9000 compliance responsibilities as well as oversight of other assigned jobs such as EHS.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Implementation of the Quality Process and Quality System in the company and establishment of Quality metrics.
Assure the production to be controlled in EHS policy and standard.
Assure that employees receive required quality training.
Act as facilitator for problem solving, corrective actions, and quality initiatives.
Act as ISO 9000/QS 9000/AS9000 Program owner and provide for all compliance audits.
Maintain manual, documents, records and reports on the status of the Quality Process for all departments and/or plant.
Assistance to handling customer complaint，coordinate and respond to customer quality problems and audits.
Supplier quality management (complaint, audit, project coordination, first sampling).
Assist quality manager to develop annual audit plan and implementation.
Coordinate with Corporate Quality system to make sure Corporate Quality system and requirements can be flown down to SHG plant.
Monitor and regular calibration for measuring devices.
Assist sales with quality presentations.
Coordinate and take part in regular Quality Conference Call with Corporate.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Bachelors Degree of Engineering or equivalent experience.

Special Training:
Quality Training
SPC
ISO QS AS 9000

Skills:
PC knowledge and spreadsheet applications, with strong Excel skills.
Communication skills-capable of communicating effectively in both written and oral formats.
English language understanding both on writing and speaking is necessary.

Experience:
Minimum of two years quality control and quality management experience which includes knowledge of various methodologies (TQM, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
In an industrial operation in the field of Aerospace engineering is a plus.
Team player and strong coordination capability.
