Job Title: Production Manager

Department: Production

Reports To: Plant Manager

SUMMARY

Develops improved or new designs for equipment and fixtures to assemble automotive sunroof modules and roof systems or modifies existing equipment. Ensures that the manufacturing process conforms to all Inalfa Roof Systems specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Manage all aspects of production in the plant, support all engineering chance activities impacting the manufacturing process.
- Facilitate the workshop production management, process development and quality control
- Develop and implement production plan to complete the production orders correctly and timely
- Arrange personnel and equipment capacity efficiently and effectively, reduce production cost
- Continuously improve the working procedure and arrangement

- Perform line balancing and labor evaluation activities

- Updates all necessary equipment and fixtures to assist manufacturing to error-proof and improve efficiencies wherever possible

- Manage the maintenance of the equipment and fixtures, make sure the good condition of operation

- Reduce the scrape rate

- WIP reduction and productivity increase

- Training subordinates

- Insure that all employees enjoy the safest possible working environment

- Perform ergonomic analysis as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises employees in the Current Manufacturing Group. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

TS16949 RESPONSIBILITIES The TS16949 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. Other responsibilities may be added, with or without notice in writing, at any time.

Adhere to all TS16949 procedures as related to the Manufacturing Engineering department function.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university with emphasis on Engineering or Manufacturing related field; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Need to be experienced in automotive industry for 5 years at minimum.

Preferred to experience in Motor industry.

LANGUAGE SKILLS of English

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
