Job Description:
The Role Objective
The Senior Digital Planner role offers a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take full responsibility for the development and successful implementation of digital campaigns across a wide variety of innovative and market leading client / brands.
Primary (day-to-day) Responsibilities:
Relationship Media Process Step One: Mining the Complexity
Populate and maintain client performance and trading database.
Work with digital ad operations team to collate and present client past campaign learnings and benchmarks to inform internal briefing process for upcoming campaigns.
Relationship Media Process Step Two: Making the Simple Magical
Use internal and syndicated data sources to shortlist prospective site partners for direct (contextually placed) site buys.
Prepare and submit RFP's (Request For Proposal) to prospective site partners.
Collate site partner responses, assess with Planning Supervisor, and select final site list for upcoming campaigns.
Prepare site by site planning and trading history reports to support Supervisor rate (media cost) negotiations.
Create detailed campaign plans / schedules for client review and authorization.
Relationship Media Process Step Three: Making the Magical Live
Prepare supporting assets and brief ad operations team on upcoming campaigns to ensure accurate and timely execution
Enter confirmed media buys into financial planning system (iDesk) and oversee confirmation of media commitment (Insertion Orders) by campaign site partners
Traffic campaigns: push committed buys through to adserver and ad operations team in order to initiate campaign setup and execution process
Generate campaign delivery reports to uncover and resolve site partner discrepancies.
Create campaign performance reports for client submission: frequency of reporting is bespoke based on client requirements and campaign flight length.
Analyze and review campaign performance reports to suggest optimization initiatives. Gain client / planning team approval for optimization initiatives and implement accordingly.
Adjust and update client performance benchmark database post campaign
Secondary Responsibilities:
Help develop quarterly and annual clients planning presentations to demonstrate value delivered by planning team initiatives
Work with Planning Supervisor to create marketplace rate tracking and spending trend reviews across the agency
Ad hoc contribution to the generation of pricing guarantees and benchmark information for new business pitches
Work with Planning Supervisor and Director to research and create Maxus PoV's which cover key digital landscape developments. These are used to educate the wider agency teams and keep agency clients up to date on important industry topics.

Proven record of digital planning and buying experience
Proven record of digital successful and accurate campaign implementation and management
Experience of managing significant annual online budgets
Experience and understanding of industry research and planning tools (Comscore, Compete, MRI, Hitwise etc.)
Working knowledge of industry trafficking and reporting tools (Dart, Atlas, Eyeblaster etc.)
Ability to confidently and clearly present work to the client, verbally and in document form.
Knowledge
A desire to understand the broader media landscape and its impact on digital campaigns and strategies
