eMMC Firmware Testing Engineer eMMC 固件测试工程师

Description:

As an eMMC Firmware Testing Engineer (固件测试工程师/嵌入式软件测试工程师), you will work with an exceptionally talented, passionate core team based in Shanghai, to test and verify eMMC product functionality, performance, stability and power consumption. You will also have opportunity to work closely with US based produce engineers, system test engineers, application engineers, and Flash memory design engineers, to find, analyze, narrow down the root causes of the issues and support to fix and verify the issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with firmware engineers to develop and implement product test plans;

2. Work with firmware engineers to develop and implement tools to validate firmware or assist debugging.

3. Finding bugs through white and black box testing;

4. Report and track bugs and analyze failures to find root cause, and follow-up with engineering team to resolution.

5. Participate and contribute to developing new flow and process to streamline product testing/validation cycle.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

1. At least 3 years or equivalent experience in System-level storage functionality/stability/performance/power consumption testing, experience in eMMC firmware testing or being familiar with the eMMC testing equipments(Magnum II, Testmetrix, etc) and flow is a strong plus.

2. Strong test script design and debug experience using C/C++ programming, knowledge of Perl is a plus.

3. Quick learner with high level of self-motivation and dedication; Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team, able to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required

5. Knowledge of eMMC/UFS protocol is a strong plus

6. Good understanding of NAND Flash physics & Flash operations is a strong plus

7. Knowledge of SSD/eMMC flash translation layer, wear leveling, garbage collection is a strong plus

8. Experience in test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic/bus analyzers is a plus

9. Storage system technology of RAID/Compression/Encryption(TCG, etc.) is a plus
